With yoga practise comes a mindful lifestyle and awareness of our impact on the planet. Our cork yoga mats at Eartha are 100% biodegradable.
Not only will you be giving back to the earth when you eventually part ways with your mat, but cork is also an ethically-sourced material. Cork comes from the bark of the cork oak tree, the only tree in the world that regenerates its outer bark when it gets stripped away. Therefore, cork is a renewable resource that doesn’t take away precious trees!
Cork trees also absorb carbon dioxide when they grow back their bark. The more cork bark we use, the less harmful carbon dioxide we have lingering in the air.
